Augusta Fire Department

The Augusta Fire Department will be celebrating its 125th anniversary this weekend in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. A parade will begin at the James Brown Arena at 10am and the parade route will head west along Broad Street to 13th Street. From 11am to 3pm a free celebration will be held at the Augusta Commons featuring local musicians and a 1924 fire truck exhibit. The Fire Department will also be selling a 90-page souvenir book for $5 that contains pictures and maps.
